PS Flood Barriers Case Study: Houston Hurricane Harvey Success Stories

In 2017, the Houston, Texas, area was devastated by Hurricane Harvey, which brought monumental widespread flooding. Over a four-day period, some areas received as much as 40 inches of rain. The flooding that ensued affected thousands of homes and businesses, but thankfully, with the help of PS Flood Barriers, some remained dry.

Paying It Forward

20 years ago, our hometown of Grand Forks faced flooding that devastated our city. With the help of others we rebuilt. Now, we are honored to “pay it forward” to those affected by Hurricane Harvey with the help of students from Twining Elementary and Middle School.

PS Access Solutions Case Study: Basin Electric Power Cooperative

In the summer of 2016, Basin Electric Power Cooperative needed to close off an air compressor room in one of its first power plants, known as Leland Olds Station, and it looked to longtime partner PS Access Solutions™ to get the job done. PS Access Solutions has manufactured products for the Leland Olds Station for several years, providing industrial swing doors, sliding doors and access hatches throughout the plant. For this particular project, the plant needed to close off three openings in an air compressor room in order to transform it into an airlocked environment.

PS Flood Barriers Case Study: Con Edison

As a result of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Con Edison, an energy company providing electricity, gas and steam service to more than 10 million people in New York City and Westchester County, needed to improve its flood protection efforts in facilities where gas pipes surfaced. Con Edison selected PS Flood Barriers to step up to the challenge, and it accepted.
