IT Systems Analyst

Reports to: IT Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible to support all IT functions and provide end-user support for the employees at PS INDUSTRIES.  Work with vendors and other internal employees to develop and maintain PS INDUSTRIES processes, applications, and technical solutions. Conduct research and plan new technical solutions to support PS INDUSTRIES operations.

Core Roles:

  • Maintain/evaluate software and hardware systems
  • Develop and maintain DriveWorks core functionality
  • Provide end user support

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage end-user support and internal ticketing system(s)
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with process owners and user departments
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures and information security and control structures
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying challenges; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Where applicable, train and develop users in PS INDUSTRIES technology platforms
  • Analyzes business needs presented by the user community and recommends technical solutions
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
  • Participates on hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts
  • Advise management on the purchase of computer hardware and software and purchase same. Identify any consequential training needs and facilitate provision where appropriate
  • Ensure all IT-related equipment is properly maintained and manage any resultant contracts
  • Interacts with internal clients on all levels to resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner
  • Implements network security as established by corporate management
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support and networking or comparable work experience
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with: Veeam, Group Policy, Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 Administration, networking items (VLANs, firewalls, switches, etc.), VMWare vSphere, Axis security cameras
