IT Systems Analyst

Reports to: IT Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible to support all IT functions and provide end-user support for the employees at PS INDUSTRIES.  Work with vendors and other internal employees to develop and maintain PS INDUSTRIES processes, applications and technical solutions.  Conduct research and plan new technical solutions to support PS INDUSTRIES operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage End-User Support and internal ticketing system
  • Supervise IT Associate(s) & Intern(s)
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with process owners and user departments
  • Administrate the end-user support system and ensure timely response and complete solutions
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures and information security and control structures
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying challenges; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
  • Where applicable, train and develop users in PS INDUSTRIES technology platforms
  • Analyzes business needs presented by the user community and recommends technical solutions
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts
  • Advise management on the purchase of computer hardware and software and purchase same. Identify any consequential training needs and facilitate provision where appropriate
  • Ensure all IT-related equipment is properly maintained and manage any resultant contracts
  • Interacts with internal clients on all levels to resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner
  • Oversees the administration of the company’s WAN
  • Implements network security as established by corporate management
  • Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware and incorporates new developments into the future systems of the company
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support and networking
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in implementing effective and innovative software development methodologies
