 Position Summary: 

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of the company.  Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company.  This position is an executive Leadership Team role which shall provide a forward-thinking perspective and key input, for setting and achieving strategic goals.

Core Roles:

  • Executive Leadership Team member, guiding the Team with current financial analyses and future-looking strategies
  • Oversee the development and implementation of effective finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures to support the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and informational reports for leadership
  • Oversee the development and approval of budgets including annual revenue, capital expenditure and departmental expenses
  • Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the Human Resources function and Information Systems function
  • Implement Risk Management strategies to identify, measure, evaluate and mitigate a wide variety of business risks

Essential Job Functions:

  • High level of Leadership skill, strong ability to Manage and hold others accountable for goal achievement
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial safeguards
  • Develop people, processes, and procedures to achieve the day-to-day business financial activities
  • Provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations
  • Assist in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance required to conduct business
  • Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide leadership
  • Analyze financial statements to identify target areas of improvement
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate departmental staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Ten years’ experience of progressively increasing responsibility in finance or accounting
  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or, Bachelor’s degree and equivalent work experience in the accounting and finance field with a CPA designation
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Knowledge of contracting and negotiating
  • Limited travel may be required

  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Background in manufacturing industry
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions
