Position Summary:

Responsible for generating invoices and recording payments for PS Industries’ customers and ensuring proper entry of invoices to PS Industries’ vendors.

 Core Roles:

  • Assign general ledger codes and enter vendor invoices
  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors and customers
  • Process customer credit applications
  • Perform collections on customer accounts
  • Perform administrative support duties for the office

 Essential Job Functions:

  • Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
  • Verify customer information is correct and current
  • Interact with customers to resolve outstanding payment issues and ensure collection
  • Prepare reports for management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales and customer information
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Maintain an accurate Accounts Receivable aging report
  • Process Accounts Payable transactions
  • Review vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to entry to accounting software
  • Maintains strong internal accounting controls by adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to telephone

 Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 Years work experience in accounting position
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level using Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Experience using accounting software applications
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and work accuracy

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years work experience in an accounting position
